This year’s British Orthodontic Conference in Glasgow held on 19-21 September will see Professor Greg Huang from Washington State University delivering the prestigious Northcroft memorial lecture Dr Huang will describe the findings from a large, prospective, practice-based network study conducted in the United States. The study assessed the practitioner recommendations, patient acceptance, treatment outcomes, patient satisfaction and long-term stability. Ninety-one practitioners and 347 adult anterior openbite patients from across the US were initially enrolled, with approximately 250 completing treatment during the study period. Aligners, fixed appliances, TADs, and orthognathic surgery were investigated and Dr Huang will reveal the interesting results about treatment recommendations, acceptance, success, and satisfaction from this recently completed study.
